88 Till Infinity Presents: Peter Anthony Red Interview (Via Skype)
Recently, 88 Till Infinity conducted an interview with Peter Anthony Red, a moniker of Tonedeff for an up and coming singing project, via Skype.
Interviewing people via Skype is a new idea, none of us have done it before, and so it’s imperfect. If this is something that goes well, we will continue on with this format. The other day, my friend Von and I, ended up on Skype with Tonedeff, and got into a brief conversation, which was followed by an interview, conducted by Von. Questions written by both me and Von, video also done by me and Von.
That is my chair creaking in the background, you don’t hear me actually say anything, though, parts that went off into small digressions, which is all I was involved in interview wise, were cut out, to keep it to the point.

Melo-X
Between 2002 and the present day multi-skilled, multi-genre producer/rapper Melo-X has released countless mixtapes, random remixes and instrumentals. With his ability to cover various styles and sounds, sing and rap, Melo-X creates thick and at times, complex compositions.Melo-X has gained quite a reputation for his live remixing skills, using his laptop and MPD to re-imagine tracks from the likes of Amy Winehouse, Raphael Saadiq and Drake. In 2009 his remix of Maxwell’s Bad Habits off the BLACKsummers’night album was very well received, even being praised by Maxwell himself on Twitter and later being purchased by Sony Music and used on his world tour. Below is a recent video of his remix/cover of Lana Del Rey’s Video Games.
Hollohan – My Lost Love & Addiction
This is a detailed story, about the rapper known for battling Hollohan’s journey, from the tipping point of his addiction to drugs, to him sobering up, and the things in between.
Three quarters of the 88′s team are musicians in some form and the founders themselves are producers so we have a soft spot for anything instrumental. One of our favourite producers is Boonie Mayfield (also known as Boondoc), we recently had the opportunity to ask him some questions, here is the interview.
At 88 we have quite recently become fans of Clear Soul Forces, with us posting about them twice in a relatively short period. You can find those posts here and here. We done a quick text interview with them, and here it is.

Producer’s of the EP includes Eric G., Khrysis, and of course 9th Wonder. Rapsody keeps the EP consistently about her journey through the hip hop industry, her influences, and her future goals. One song in particular “Shining Moment” featuring Bluu Suede of Kooley High, speaks about her “shining moment” as it is now and how she’s working towards that absolute big shining moment in the hip-hop industry. Towards the end of the song she repeatedly say, “this is my shining moment, “ and indeed it is her shining moment especially since she has released her first EP “The Black Mamba.” Rapsody is just warming up for us hip-hop heads. She’s definitely teasing us, though can’t complain because it’s quite nice tease. Check out her video snippet for “Shining Moment”:
